Elaine Hanson

Elaine Marie Hansen of Waseca passed away on February 15, 2026, at home surrounded by family after a short battle with illness at the age of 87. She was born on January 7, 1939 to Walter and Marie Meinke. She grew up in Waterville, graduating from Waterville High School in 1957. She was a homemaker for the last 36 years, and also held various jobs throughout her life.

She was passionate about and actively involved with the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Morristown American Legion Post.

 

She was preceded in death by her former husbands Robert (Bob) Janike and Ray Schaub. She is survived by her husband David Hansen and by her children Bruce (Pam), Carrie (Marc), and Bil,  as well as step-children Jeff (Julie), Jodi (Tom) and Richard, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford at 3 p.m. on March 7, 2026, with visitation an hour beforehand.
