Waseca School congratulates 4-H fair volunteers

The Waseca Public School Board held its regular session meeting on Thursday, July 17 on the second floor of the central building. Viola Rohr, junior class representative to the school board , was attending for the first time and introduced herself. Rohr participates in speech, marching band, cross country, jazz band and in her words, “A little bit of everything.”  

 

Sarah Brandt, director of business services, will be authorized to make payments prior to board approval. The school board designated that chairman Dave Dunn, clerk Alyssa Bowers and treasurer Scott Deml are authorized to sign checks on behalf of the school. Everyone on the school board expressed congratulations to members of the Waseca County Fair board for their  hard work and the wonderful job they did with the fair this year. Said Dunn, “The 4-H volunteers did a great job keeping everything clean this year. John Hanson and Dave Prins do the Waseca high school’s drivers training and we want to recognize the good job those two have been doing as well.”

 

The Minnesota School Board Association and Renewal of MSBA Policy Service was approved. A resolution in conjunction with the 10-year long term facilities maintenance expenditure was approved. The appointment of designated Minnesota State High School League representatives was approved. The board approved two 2025-2027 master agreements, one with building technology staff and other with custodial and maintenance staff.

 

A school board work session and retreat is scheduled for 4 p.m.  August 7; the next regular meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 at 5:30.
