Regional library events scheduled

This month, a variety of events for people of all ages will be held by Waseca-LeSueur Library system locations throughout Waseca County. The Summer Reading Challenge will open for young readers ages 3-18 on June 5. The theme of this year’s summer reading program is “All Together Now,” celebrating the way that reading brings people together.

The Waseca Public Library’s summer concert series is returning to Trowbridge Park at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in June. The first of these concerts, on June 6, will be Traveled Ground, an Americana and Roots-inspired band. Rocket Soul Choir, a rock band fronted by Leslie Rich of northern Ireland, will perform on June 13. Folk, protest, and Native Americana singer David Huckfelt will take to the stage on June 20. Closing out the series on June 27 will be The Gentlemen’s Anti Temperance League, who play jazz- and swing-inspired music.
