Blessed by the spirit

It was a sunny day when 40 young Catholics were confirmed at the Waseca Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21.

Out of the 40 Catholics confirmed, 22 were from Sacred Heart;18 others were from the Communion of Saints Tri-Parish of St. Ann (Janesville), St. Joseph (Waldorf), and All Saints (New Richland).

Bishop Robert Barron of the Winona-Rochester Diocese performed the rite of confirmation on the students, which included the presentation of the candidates, renewal of baptismal promises, the laying on of hands, the anointing with the sacred chrism, and the prayers of the faithful. Standing by were Sacred Heart pastor Father Thế Hoàng and St. Ann-St. Joseph-All Saints pastor Fr. Brian Mulligan.
