Starfire craft show sees 35 vendors

There really was “something for everyone” at the Holiday Craft Sale hosted by Starfire Event Center in Waseca on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. More than 35 vendors filled all four major rooms in the event center peddling clothing, kitchen gadgets, knick knacks, sweets, therapeutics, coffee, and more. For those who found themselves hungry, in addition to samples of the vendors’ wares, the hosts at Starfire provided food and drink for sale.

Entertainment for the day was provided by Melissa Shultz Music and Becky Borneke of In a Bind, playing a variety of Christmas and wintery tunes on keyboard. Borneke playfully invited onlookers to sing with her – while many sang or hummed along in their own space as they circulated the many booths, she said no one seemed willing to take the mic. Too shy, she thought, but Borneke didn’t let that set her off her stride.

Door prizes were also offered, donated by several of the vendors. Winners announced by Starfire Event Center were Shannon Marie Jones, Cathy Breitbarth, Alyssa Kuphal, Jessica Anderson, Donald McVey, and Betty Schroeder. Anyone who responded “going” to the event posted by Starfire Event Center on Facebook was eligible to win.
