Waseca County opioid funds application now open

The Waseca County Opioid Settlement Advisory Council is pleased to announce the launch of Opioid Settlement grant funding! Applications will be accepted year-round starting November 1, 2025. This program offers critical funding opportunities to support community-based efforts to prevent opioid misuse, expand access to treatment, and promote recovery services.
 
National opioid litigation settlements fund this grant initiative, which aims to tackle the opioid crisis locally by investing in evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction projects.
 
“We are committed to leveraging these funds to save lives and build healthier communities,” said Andrea Kronbach, Waseca County Public Health. “By offering a rolling application process with quarterly reviews, we provide flexibility to applicants while making sure to provide timely support to impactful programs.”
 
Key Highlights
Application Open: November 1, 2025
Quarterly Review Dates: December 16, 2025, March 16, 2026, June 16, 2026, and September 16, 2026
 
Notification: Within 45 days after each review
Funding Priorities: Prevention, treatment, recovery support, harm reduction, and community education
 
Eligibility: Nonprofits, healthcare providers, local governments, and other community organizations working to address opioid misuse.
