'Leave the dirt on the ground'

Community Ed t-ball concludes
The Waseca Community Education t-ball program ended with some big games last Thursday, July 20. Six teams of kids aged three to six played against each other at Tink Larson field in Waseca as a way to end the season. Each team was assigned a different color, so that teams dressed in red, gold, light blue, royal blue, green, and charcoal took turns playing against each other throughout the season, which started the first week of June, with practices running every Tuesday and Thursday.
“I loved all my little t-ball kids,” said green team coach Lizzie Roessler, who had fun assisting the kids running bases, teaching them how to bat, and where to stand in the field. “But I kept having to say ‘let’s leave the dirt on the ground, please’” Roessler laughed.
Gray team coach Grayson Hiller said that he believed t-ball went very well. “It was fun getting to know the kids, and it was awesome to see how much they learned.”
Community ed offers many other summer programs including dance, aquatics, gymnastics, art programs, and other sports for both children and adults.
