Infants Remembered in Silence receives $5,000

Infants Remembered in Silence received a grant for $5,000 during the Waseca Area Foundation’s annual awards program November 9, 2022. Michelle Preibe, who lost two children in the early 2000s, has been working with IRIS ever since. “This is near and dear to my heart,” a teary-eyed Preibe said after accepting the grant. “This is very timely. I can’t say who because of confidentiality, but there is a well-known, well-liked resident of Waseca County who used our services within the past 24 hours… IRIS does help people right here.” 

IRIS provides clients with bereavement packages, clothing sets for infants, and “IRIS came and took molds of my baby’s hands and feet. Those are among my most treasured keepsakes.”
